On Tuesday, June 3, members of The Rotary Club of the Bronx, NY, gathered for the installation of officers and a new member, along with the Rotary Club of the South Bronx. All will assume these leadership roles beginning at the start of the new Rotary Year on July 1, through June 30, 2026.
On Tuesday, June 3, members of The Rotary Club of the Bronx, NY, gathered for the installation of officers and a new member, along with the Rotary Club of the South Bronx. All will assume these leadership roles beginning at the start of the new Rotary Year on July 1, through June 30, 2026. Incoming District Governor of Rotary District 7230, Garrett Capobianco, installed our Club’s new President, Monica Glick, along with Club Treasurer, Maria Intano Sipas. Mary Romeo Springman will serve as Secretary, but was unable to join the event on that first June Tuesday. The Bronx Rotary Club also installed a new member, Yarisa Baez (Ridgewood Bank), welcomed Eastchester Rotarian Olga Estrada, and offered gratitude for the past year of service of outgoing President Pat Capasso. For the South Bronx Rotary Club, past District Governor J Loren Russell installed President Karen Harris-Scott, along with the Club’s Secretary Courtney Smith and Treasurer Lee Alexander. That Club’s Sergeant at Arms will be Darius Woodley. It was a day that began with service for the Bronx Rotary Club as members cooked and served hamburgers to 600 (students, teachers, staff) from the Lewis and Clark School in the Bronx for their Field Day.
